High-waisted jeans are the 80s and 90s cut that fits the way modern jeans try to: a rise that sits at the natural waist, a taper or a straight leg, and rigid denim that softens with wear. We buy pairs whose denim still has body, and we are honest about what decades do to jeans: worn hems, faded seat, replaced buttons, and the shrinkage that makes a label “30” measure a 28. That is why every pair is listed by the flat measurement, waist and inseam as W and L in inches, plus the front rise. There is one of each. Tuck in a T-shirt or a shirt; for a lower rise see wide-leg jeans and straight jeans.
