Read before you buy: Night out outfits, UK edition: club, pub and dinner
Blouses are the softer sisters of our button-up shirts: silk and chiffon with pussy-bow necks, 70s prints in browns and golds, lace-trimmed camisole blouses, and the plain 90s shells that go under a blazer. Delicate fabrics show their age first, so we hold each blouse up to the light for pulls, marks and weak seams, test every hook, button and tie, and steam it before the photos. Sizes are given as the label says and as we measure them flat, pit to pit and length, and where a blouse is cut oversized we say so rather than let the number mislead. There is one of each. Wear them tucked into a midi skirt or loose over high-waisted jeans; see all tops and blouses for the full edit.
