Crop tops are pure Y2K: cropped baby tees with logos, corset and bustier tops with boning that still holds, ribbed knits, and the embellished going-out tops that photographs from 2003 are full of. We check boning, hooks, zips and straps first, then stretch and seams, and we give the length from shoulder to hem so you know exactly how cropped “cropped” is. Sizes are listed as the label says and as we measure them flat, pit to pit and length, and most of these are fitted cuts that run a size smaller than a modern label. There is one of each.
