Patsy Seddon opened Phase Eight in London in 1979 and built it into the shop women went to for a wedding or a party without looking like a bridesmaid: embellished knits, silk cardigans, beading done by hand. It has belonged to South Africa's TFG since 2015 and still uses the same cutting.
Is Phase Eight true to size? Yes, UK sizes and a fair cut. Knits with mohair and sequins have little stretch, so compare with our flat pit-to-pit and length.
