Wallis skirts measured by hand: 3 pieces (2 in stock), UK 8–20, from £13.50, one of each.
Wallis was founded in 1923 by Raphael Nathan at Chapel Market in Islington and became the high-street name for coats, tailoring and printed skirts through the 1980s and 1990s. Arcadia's collapse sent it online under Boohoo in 2021, so a woven-label Wallis with a lined skirt is from the shop years.
Is Wallis true to size? Yes, UK sizes, cut for a real waist. We list waist, hip and length flat on skirts and bust, waist and length on dresses and tops.
What do you check on a Wallis piece before listing it? Composition label, lining, zips and pleats holding their shape, photographed close.

What UK size is a vintage Wallis W26? On the one Wallis W26 piece we measured, the waistband was 26″ round; we listed it as a UK 8. Our measurements, taken flat on each piece, not the brand's chart.
Does Wallis run small or true to size? On the one Wallis piece labelled UK 16 that we measured, the bust was 39″ round (the UK standard for that label is about 41″). That is smaller than the UK standard for the label, so size up if you are between sizes.
“Our UK estimate” is the size on each piece's own listing, tried on our model (5′6″, UK 8). Jeans sit on the hips, so a waistband measures more than the natural waist it is made for: about 3″ more on a low rise, 2″ on a mid rise, 1″ on a high rise, the same rule Will it fit? uses. Shorts are left out of the inseam column.
