Earl Jeans

1 piece in stock

Earl Jeans jeans measured by hand: 2 pieces (1 in stock), W31, from £24, one of each.

Earl Jean was founded in Los Angeles in 1996 by Suzanne Costas Freiwald and was among the first of the low-rise premium denim labels, worn everywhere around 2000 before Nautica bought the company in 2001. The rhinestone and stitch-flap bootcuts are the signature, and the low rise is real: 8.5 to 9 inches at the front on the pairs we have measured.

How does Earl sizing work? US inch waists, cut for the hip rather than the waist. Trust our flat waist, hip, rise and inseam over the tag.

What do you check on a pair of Earl Jeans before listing it? Rhinestone count and settings, the leather patch, rivets, inside labels and the stretch recovery of the denim, photographed flat.

The wider story of low rise is in our Y2K guide.
