Louis Feraud dresses measured by hand: 2 pieces (1 in stock), UK 8–10, from £67.50, one of each.
Louis Féraud opened his first boutique in Cannes in 1950, dressed Brigitte Bardot and moved his couture house to Paris, where colour and print stayed his signature until his death in 1999. Much of the later ready-to-wear was made under licence in Germany, which is why the labels often carry German sizes next to the Paris name.
What size is a Féraud 38? If it is a German 38 it is a UK 12; a French 38 is a UK 10. We settle it by measuring bust, waist, hip and length flat.
How do you check a Féraud? Label typography, the composition tag, the finishing of velvet and silk seams and the zip, all photographed. Evening pieces get a shot of the open back and the ruffles laid flat.
