Champion

Champion has been knitting sweatshirts in Rochester, New York since 1919. Reverse Weave, cut across the grain so the body does not shrink in length, is their patent from the 1930s, and the C logo went from gym kit to streetwear in the 1990s. The women's crop tees with the small logo are 2010s pieces and sit in the same wardrobe as the Y2K revival.

Do Champion tees run small? The women's cropped cuts do. Pit-to-pit and length are listed on each one, and a bleached or acid-washed tee will have shrunk a touch more.

How do you check a Champion label? Woven C logo, the neck label generation and the printed care tag, shown in the photos along with any distressing that was done on purpose.
