Austin Leonard Reed opened his first shop in the City of London in 1900 and moved to Regent Street in 1911, selling ready-to-wear tailoring to men who could not wait for bespoke. The company went into administration in 2016 and the name survives online, so anything with a proper woven label and pure wool cloth is from the shop era.
